The Texas Senate passed SB17, effective January 1, 2024, which directly impacts our University and training guidelines. In the context of our training guidelines, below are key takeaways:

  1. Bridge authors cannot create training material centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion as is applies to race, color, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation
  2. Bridge managers cannot assign or require an employee to take training material centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion as is applies to race, color, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation
