The Texas Senate passed Texas Education Code §51.3525, effective January 1, 2024,
which directly impacts our University and training guidelines. In the context of our
training guidelines, below are key takeaways:
- Authors on the Employee LMS cannot create training material centered around diversity,
equity, and inclusion as it applies to race, color, ethnicity, gender identity, or
sexual orientation
- Managers cannot assign or require an employee to take training material centered around
diversity, equity, and inclusion as it applies to race, color, ethnicity, gender identity,
or sexual orientation
