Disable Pop-up Blockers for UNT Bridge

How to Disable Pop-up Blockers

Most web browsers include a feature to block pop-up windows. While this may eliminate unwanted or bothersome pop-up windows, the feature sometimes can impede the functionality of legitimate or useful websites such as training through UNT Bridge.

Some training in UNT Bridge requires your web browser's pop-up blocker to be either disabled or configured to allow training to load in a separate window. This article will walk you through managing your web browser's pop-up blocker.

Jump to your browser.

Google Chrome (Windows, macOS)

In Chrome, a small icon with a red X will appear next to the Favorite star in the upper right corner of the address bar to indicate a pop-up has been blocked. To accept the blocked pop-up, click the link shown to proceed anyway, or select Always allow pop-ups from this page, then click  Done.

Safari — macOSHow to disable a pop-up blocker in Safari

Safari for macOS has no per-website control over blocking pop-up windows. Pop-ups are either blocked, or they are not. To allow pop-ups:

  1. From the Safari menu, choose Preferences... and click the Security tab.
  2. Ensure the Block pop-up windows option is not checked. Unchecking this option will allow pop-ups.
  3. To block pop-ups once again, check the Block pop-up windows checkbox.

Note: If you are concerned about allowing pop-ups globally for all websites that you browse, consider using another web browser that allows website exceptions such as Chrome or Firefox.
